What is Le Souterrain? Le Souterrain is the restaurant at Chin Chin Club in the Jordaan, Amsterdam, led by chef Julius Nuiten. It hosts two dinner shows: Diamonds After Dark, a magical dinner show with Nigel Otermans, on Thursdays and Queen of Hearts — Chin Chin Goes Vegas on Fridays and Saturdays.

When is Le Souterrain open? Thursdays from 19:00 for Diamonds After Dark, and Fridays and Saturdays from 19:00 for Queen of Hearts.

What is the difference between the two dinner shows? Same kitchen, two shows. Diamonds After Dark on Thursdays is a magical dinner show with Nigel Otermans. Queen of Hearts on Fridays and Saturdays is Vegas glamour with live performances between the courses, followed by the club in the same room.

Who is the chef? Le Souterrain is led by chef Julius Nuiten, who earned a Michelin star earlier in his career. He cooks à la minute, blending fine dining precision with a playful, modern hand.

What kind of food is served? Refined, modern cooking with luxe ingredients and precise technique: oysters with smoked O-toro and Asetra caviar, steak tartare with cecina de león and miso, bouillabaisse with coconut and saffron, short rib with red wine sauce, monkfish, mushroom risotto with morels, and Wagyu A5. Vegetarian dishes are available throughout.

Where is Le Souterrain located? Inside Chin Chin Club at Rozengracht 133, Amsterdam, in the Jordaan - a 5-minute walk from the Anne Frank House and 10 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal.

What time does the dinner show start? Celebrate with us, from dusk to dawn. Doors open at 19:00 on Thursday (Diamonds After Dark), Friday and Saturday (Queen of Hearts), with dinner and live entertainment running into the night before the room transforms into the club.

What is the theme of the Dinner Show? The current edition is Queen of Hearts — Chin Chin Goes Vegas: old-school Vegas glamour, gold and neon, and live performances between the courses. The theme changes every season.

What kind of performances can I expect? Live performances throughout the room between the courses: dance, live vocals, glamour and interactive moments. The programme is not announced in advance, so most of the evening stays a surprise.

Do I need to follow a storyline? No. There is no plot to keep up with. The evening is one continuous wave of moments, all within the same Vegas world, so you can simply eat, drink and be swept along.

Does the Dinner Show change? Yes. Every season gets a new theme, cast and staging. The current edition is Queen of Hearts — Chin Chin Goes Vegas, running on Fridays and Saturdays from 25 September 2026.

How much does the dinner show cost? The dinner show is fully à la carte - no fixed menu price. You order food and drinks from the menu and pay for what you have. A per-person Dinner Show & Club Entry Fee applies (covers live entertainment during dinner and club entry): €25 on Thursday (Diamonds After Dark) and €27.50 on Friday and Saturday (Queen of Hearts). This is added to your bill and deducted from your deposit. A minimum spend of €50 per person applies on the night.

Is there a deposit? Yes - a per-person prepayment is required to confirm the booking (€25 on Thursday, €27.50 on Friday and Saturday, matching the Dinner Show & Club Entry Fee). This amount is deducted from your final bill and covers the fee.

What is the cancellation policy? Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) before your booking time for a full refund of the deposit. After this window, the per-person deposit is non-refundable. Uniforme Voorwaarden Horeca (UVH) apply to all reservations.

Can I book for a large group? Online reservations are limited to a maximum of 10 guests per booking. For larger groups, email info@chinchinclub.nl or WhatsApp +31 6 26587480 and our team will arrange it.

What is the dress code? Relaxed chic or glam - an elegant outfit is appreciated. Not allowed: beachwear, shorts, caps, shoulder bags and sportswear. A tie, suit or evening dress is welcome but not required. Chin Chin Club reserves the right to refuse access for damaged or unpresentable clothing.

How does seating work? Table allocations are made on arrival - we cannot guarantee specific tables in advance, but our team will seat you well based on your party.

What if I'm running late? We hold your table for a maximum of 15 minutes past your reservation time. Please contact us as soon as possible if you are delayed and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Are vegetarian or vegan options available? Yes - please flag any dietary requirements when booking so the kitchen can prepare for you.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible? Unfortunately not - the entrance is only accessible by stairs and our toilets are narrow. Please contact us in advance and we will do our best to assist.

Do I need a separate ticket for the club afterwards? No - dinner show guests stay in the room as it transforms into the club. Club entry is included in the Dinner Show & Club Entry Fee (€25 on Thursday, €27.50 on Friday and Saturday).

Can I do karaoke after the dinner show? Yes - karaoke moments are layered into the night at Chin Chin Club, so you can sing alongside the dinner show and into the club programme without leaving the venue.

How do the two dinner shows differ? Diamonds After Dark (Thursday) centres on magic and illusion with Nigel Otermans, plus acrobatics, live vocals and dance. Queen of Hearts (Friday and Saturday) brings Vegas glamour, live vocals and dance, followed by the club.

How many guests fit in a private dining at Le Souterrain? The chef's table seats 8, Le Souterrain private seats up to 24, and a full buy-out of the Dinner Show room hosts up to 120 guests at Rozengracht 133 in the Jordaan, Amsterdam.

Which nights are available for private dining? Thursday is Diamonds After Dark and Friday and Saturday are Queen of Hearts nights. Both can be combined with a group booking; contact us for private options.

Can the menu be tailored? Yes. Chef Julius Nuiten builds a set menu around your group, with vegetarian and allergy-friendly courses, plus wine or cocktail pairings.

How many guests can Le Souterrain host? From small tables of six up to large groups across the restaurant and the private dining room. For a full buy-out of the restaurant and club we build a proposal per event.

Can we book a group dinner followed by the club? Yes - that is the format. Dinner at Le Souterrain, then the room becomes the Chin Chin Club dance floor, so the group stays in one venue all night.

Is there a set menu for groups? Larger groups eat from a shared or fixed selection of the à la carte menu so the kitchen can pace the evening. We agree the selection in advance.

How do we request a group booking? Small groups book online. For larger groups and private events, request a proposal and we come back with rooms, timings and a menu.

What about cancellations for group bookings? Group and private events follow the event terms in the proposal; regular table reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before.
